Earlier this year, Modest Mouse returned with Strangers to Ourselves, their first album in eight years. In the midst of a tour in support of their latest LP, the Isaac Brock-led indie rockers have unveiled a video for album single, “The Ground Walks, With Time in a Box.”

The clip finds a crazed-looking Brock sporting a crown and a raggedy fur cape at the center of a cast of equally fantastical characters. Whether or not this group is battling for the Iron Throne is unclear, but it all comes to a very gruesome, very Game of Thrones end. Watch for yourself in the video above.

Strangers to Ourselves arrived back in March, following 2007’s We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. Modest Mouse have previously shared videos for “Lampshades on Fire” and “Coyotes.” The band has also promised that Strangers to Ourselves will be followed “as quickly as it’s legally allowed” by a companion album.

Modest Mouse are currently on tour in Europe. They’ll return to the U.S. on July 18 when they’ll play the Sloss Music and Arts Festival in Birmingham, Ala. They’re also scheduled to appear at this year’s Forecastle Festival in Louisville and Austin City Limits. Check out a complete list of upcoming stops here.
