The new Neon Trees track 'Everybody Talks' got off to a slow start, but it's been rising on the charts thanks to a series of commercial appearances and TV performances. The band stopped by the 'Today' show to perform the track for the morning show audience.

After an intro from host Matt Lauer, the fashionable four-piece took off with an energetic rendition of the song, which features singer Tyler Glenn delivering the hook, "It started with a whisper / And that was when I kissed her / And then she made my lips hurt / I could hear the chit chat / Take me to your love shack / Mama's always gotta back track / When everybody talks back."

'Everybody Talks' has shot up to No. 7 on the Alternative Songs chart. The song appeared in a Buick Verano commercial and the band has performed the song live on the NewNowNext Awards, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!,' and 'Ellen.'

The song appears on the band's sophomore album 'Picture Show,' which is now in stores. Glenn has said the moderate level of success Neon Trees had on their first album made this one easier. "We were really fearless about it because we didn’t become a household name, but we became popular enough for people to want to know us more. So I think we kinda did what we wanted to do on the next record and I think we’re really proud of what came.”
