Subscribe to on

On Thursday (Jan. 9), Tool launched their 2016 tour with a concert in San Francisco. For the occasion, Maynard James Keenan and company treated fans to a rare live performance of “Sweat.”

The San Francisco gig marked the band’s first time playing the song — which appeared on their 1992 Opiate EP — in 18 years. Check out the performance in the fan-shot video at the top of the page. Tool also opened the show with their rendition of Led Zeppelin’s “No Quarter,” a cover they also performed at Monster Mash Festival in Tempe, Ariz., on Halloween. See the complete San Francisco set list at the bottom of the page (via Alternative Nation).

Tool’s tour continues on Jan. 13 in San Antonio, Texas. Then, they have six more tour dates on the books, culminating with a show in Charlotte, N.C., on Jan. 26. See all of their upcoming stops right here.
