Watch U2 + Bruce Springsteen Perform ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’
U2 wrapped up their eight-night stay at Madison Square Garden on a high note yesterday (July 31) when they brought yet another star guest on stage. This time, that guest was Bruce Springsteen, who joined the Irish rockers for “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” -- watch the performance in the video above.
In addition to the Joshua Tree classic, Springsteen and Bono also performed a duet of “Stand By Me.” As Rolling Stone points out, Springsteen and U2 previously collaborated on the Ben E. King song during their very first appearance together on the Joshua Tree tour in 1987. Likewise, Springsteen has also performed “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” with U2 during the band's 2005 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction and again at the Rock Hall’s 25th anniversary concert in 2009.
U2 have rivaled Taylor Swift in just how many famous friends they can bring on stage during their MSG residency. Over the course of the eight shows, they’ve been joined by Lady Gaga, Jimmy Fallon and the Roots and Paul Simon.
The star-studded MSG concerts aren’t the only appearances U2 have made during their stay. Earlier this week, The Edge and Adam Clayton performed with a local U2 cover band at the New York City club, The Cutting Room. Check that out below:
