Wayne Coyne and the Flaming Lips are filming a video for their remake of ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,’ featuring R&B star Erykah Badu. Coyne has been tweeting pics from the shoot, many of which show a nude Badu alternately covered in glitter and a red paint that looks like blood.

The fake blood photos show Badu standing in a bathtub in front of a green screen. In other shots, she sits naked in a tub full of glitter, releasing handfuls of glitter from her clenched fists.

As he posted links to the glitter pics, Coyne tweeted, “Yep!!!!! That glitter really worked!!! And the moon and the stars!!!!”

Getting naked in videos is nothing new for Badu, who caused controversy in 2010 by removing her clothes as she strolled through Dallas in the one-take ‘Window Seat’ video.

‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ appears on ‘The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends,’ a double album released by the Lips for Record Store Day. A select batch of those albums actually featured the blood of some of the artists who appeared on the record.

Some of the pictures from the video shoot could be considered not safe for work (NSFW). Check out the rest by clicking the button below.
