Sometimes we American music fans take our bands for granted. The United States is such a huge market that most artists make the land of the free a must in their touring plans. Australians, on the other hand, will have to wait years for some acts to even be in the same timezone. Weezer are one of those bands, but now they plan to visit the land down-under for the first time in 16 years.

As Tone Deaf points out, Weezer will head to Australia for a four-night stint in January. The Los Angeles, Calif. outfit will play their classic 1994 'Blue Album' in its entirety. The last time Weezer were in the home of Foster's beer was to promote their 'Pinkerton' record in 1996. Tickets for the concerts will go on sale July 26. See the four dates below.

Before all that happens, Weezer will keep stateside fans entertained starting this Friday (July 13) in Buffalo, N.Y. They will play a handful of shows this month, take August off and hit a few festival dates starting in September. One festival that Weezer won't have to worry about is SoundTown 2012 in Somerset, Wisc. Organizers of the event were forced to pull the plug, which was supposed to take place July 26-28, due to poor ticket sales.
