Weezer recently released an exclusive 7” to members of their fan club featuring the single, “Everybody Needs Salvation.” Now that song has made its way online, and you can stream it in the video up above.

“Everybody Needs Salvation” is the first new material the band has put out since their ninth album, Everything Will Be Alright in the End, which arrived last year following 2010’s Hurley.

Last month, Weezer played Burger Records’ Burgerama festival in Los Angeles, where they were joined by a special guest -- none other than frontman Rivers Cuomo’s dad, Frank Cuomo. Cuomo’s father set up shop on the drum kit for Weezer’s “Back to the Shack.” You can check out that performance here.

Recently, Cuomo changed up his Twitter profile, taking on the name “Rivers Cuobain” and posting a picture in which he dons large red shades and a blonde wig. It was a move to poke fun at a years-old theory that asserts Kurt Cobain faked his own death and then adopted the persona of Rivers Cuomo and started the band Weezer. Cuomo’s Twitter has since returned to his own name, but still boasts the Kurt Cobain getup in his profile picture.

Weezer are set to headline this year's inaugural Loudwire Music Festival in Colorado. You can check out the full lineup -- and pick up tickets -- here.
