The Whigs Go Disco in ‘Hit Me’ Video

Athens, Ga., trio the Whigs pay tribute to the era of platform shoes, permed hair and shiny suits in their new video for ‘Hit Me.’

Rocking white, slim-fitting bell-bottoms, and showing off copious amounts of chest hair, the guys look ready for the disco in their tribute to ’70s British TV show ‘The Old Grey Whistle Test.’ But the guitar-based rocker isn’t exactly made for the dance floor, despite its driving beat.

The video takes a few weird turns, as the show’s host starts appearing in various scenarios dressed as a hula dancer, tribal man and, um, chair humper.

And keep your eyes on drummer Julian Dorio, whose facial expressions pretty much sell the entire thing.
