The White Stripes – Rock Star Cameos on ‘The Simpsons’

The White Stripes do what they did best -- rock out -- during their brief cameo in the 2006 'Simpsons' episode 'Jazzy and the Pussycats,' which features an animated remake of the groundbreaking Stripes video for 'The Hardest Button to Button.' The original Michel Gondry-directed clip uses pixelation animation to create the effect of dozens of drum kits and guitar amplifiers multiplying to the beat of the song, and the 'Simpsons' scene offers up a dead-on reenactment, with the mischievous Bart also sitting behind a kit and being chased by the Whites until they plummet off a rising drawbridge -- and on to a passing trash barge. D'oh!
