Although Wilco are extensively touring the United States and Europe this spring and summer, anybody studying their previous itinerary might have noticed that three major U.S. cities -- Washington, D.C., New York and Los Angeles -- were overlooked. However, the band announced on Sunday (April 29) that they have booked dates for those cities as well as several others.

On July 17-18, Wilco will play two concerts at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Va., just outside the nation's capital. A week later, they will play two nights in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. Their tour will now conclude on September 30 with their first-ever shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. In addition, they added shows in Davenport, Iowa, Charlottesville, Va. and Columbus, Ohio. A complete list of all dates can be found below.

Wilco, who are as steeped in rock history as any group that has ever taken a stage, recently took time to reflect on the death of Levon Helm, the drummer and singer in the Band, who passed away on April 19. Frontman Jeff Tweedy praised Helm for unifying "blues and country, rural and city, and even North and South." Drummer Glenn Kotche defined Helm's drumming as having "a depth of feel that does not exist anymore. His brilliantly economic parts, lyrical phrasing and incredible touch and tone on the drums were as unique as his...timeless voice."
