When Wilco added three more concerts to their summer touring schedule last week, we expected others would soon follow. The last two days (April 9-10) have seen the band announce 12 more shows in the United States between late June and early August, including the Newport Folk Festival on July 27.

Between these new dates and those previously announced, Wilco will now be on the road for pretty much the entirety of the spring and summer. The tour will be comprised of both festivals and standalone shows, with two jaunts to major European festivals.

Their dance card isn't completely full, however. There are a few empty spaces on their calendar, so either there will be some more shows or the globetrotting band will be taking a few much-needed days off to relax.

Ever eclectic, Wilco will be supported by a variety of opening acts on the non/festival dates, including the Avett Brothers, Blitzen Trapper, Dr. Dog, Andrew Bird and Lee Ranaldo.
