Bad news: If you're just hearing about this now, you're already way too late to get tickets.

XTRMST -- the new melodic straight-edge hardcore outfit of AFI vocalist Davey Havok and guitarist Jade Puget -- will play their first ever show on Jan. 29 at the Roxy in Los Angeles. According to a press release, however, tickets for the event sold out in just minutes.

Those lucky enough to gain admittance will hear live renditions of songs from the band's self-titled debut released earlier this month via Dim Mak Records. Produced and mixed by Puget at his home studio in L.A., the album has been a long time in the making. "Jade and I have been talking about starting a straight edge hardcore band for years," said Havok. "We started writing and recording in early 2012 and chose the name XTRMST because it expresses the messages represented on the record. The straight edge movement is not one of moderation. It's based in undeniable objective truths."

The band also announced they'll release a digital box set as a BitTorrent bundle on Dec. 1 featuring an unreleased song, content documenting the formation of the band and the creation of the album, and a digital version of their hand-made XTRMST Zine. Havok and Puget will promote the bundle during an online Q&A on the band's Tumblr. They'll be answering questions submitted here.
