Yo La Tengo Announce 2016 North American Tour

Yo La Tengo -- who dropped their latest album, Stuff Like That There, in August -- will launch a new set of North American tour dates in the new year.

Right now, the band are still in the midst of a run of dates that have boasted stripped-down, acoustic sets and former guitarist Dave Schramm. Those pick up tonight (Nov. 9) in Boulder, Colo., with more stops scheduled through January. Then, Yo La Tengo’s Ira Kaplan, Georgia Hubley and James McNew will continue on without Schramm, beginning with a show in in Cleveland on Jan. 28. That leg of the tour takes the trio all the way through the beginning of April, concluding with a gig in Jersey City, N.J on the 9th. You can also see Yo La Tengo during their upcoming appearance on Last Call With Carson Daly. That will air on NBC on Nov. 11 at 1:35AM EST.

Stuff Like That There follows Yo La Tengo’s 2013 full-length, Fade, however, it revisits the band’s concept for 1990’s Fakebook, combining brand-new material, alternate takes of old songs and covers. You can grab it on CD, vinyl or digitally at the Matador Records website.
