Indie stalwarts Yo La Tengo will release their 14th studio album, 'Fade,' on Jan. 14 in the United Kingdom and on Jan. 15 in America. As we reported in September, the record was produced by John McEntire of Tortoise.

'Fade' is their first full-length album since 2009's 'Popular Songs,' which, fittingly, was their highest-charting album to date, reaching no. 58 on the Billboard 200. In between, they released two EPs, one in 2010 consisting of remixes of 'Here to Fall,' the other 'Stupid Things,' which came out in September.

The song 'Stupid Things' will be included on 'Fade,' a deluxe edition of which will contain 7" covers of Todd Rundgren's 'I Saw the Light' and Times New Viking's 'Move to California.' There will also be a deluxe digital version, which will include an 11-minute bonus track that has yet to be titled.

Yo La Tengo will also hit the road shortly after the release of 'Fade.' Their world tour begins Jan. 23 in Carrabo, N.C., and ends March 23 in Dublin, Ireland. Before that, they will play their annual run of Hanukkah shows at Maxwell's in their hometown of Hoboken, N.J., from Dec. 8-15.
