Zooey Deschanel was a young and unknown Hollywood hopeful with little more than an episode of the Kristie Alley sitcom 'Veronica's Closet' on her resume when she landed a slot in this 1998 Offspring video. Although she plays a punkish, fire-engine-red-haired Gen-Xer type who sees grotesque comic book-style animation everywhere she looks, she comes across as pure Zooey.

'She's Got Issues' was off the Offspring's fifth album, 'Americana,' considered a comeback for the band, which broke into the mainstream in 1994 with the six-times-platinum 'Smash.' 'Americana' sold five million units on the strength of singles like 'Issues' and the novelty hit 'Pretty Fly (For a White Guy).'
