Mark your calendars, music fans: Dates have been announced for the 2013 Mountain Jam festival. Next year's event runs June 6 through 9 at the world-class Hunter Mountain ski resort in Hunter, N.Y. Pre-sale tickets will be available from 12PM EST on Monday, Dec. 10., through midnight on Sunday, Dec. 16, but fans ought not dawdle. These early-bird tix are only available while supplies last, and last year, they sold out before the deadline.

While the Mountain Jam 2013 lineup won't be revealed until early next year, organizers have unveiled some exciting news about this, the ninth installment of the popular Upstate New York event.

The festival is known for its camping, and for the first time, Mountain Jam will offer a limited number of car-side camp sites in designated areas. Instead of lugging your gear up the mountain, you'll be able to drive directly to your campsite and have everything you need conveniently located onsite.

Of course, camping isn't for everyone, and If you'd rather not sleep under the stars, Mountain Jam has you covered. This year, a shuttle will run continuously from the festival site to and from participating hotels in Hunter and the surrounding areas.

While you're on the grounds, checking out the music, you're bound to get hungry. Rather than simply offer up the usual festival concessions, Mountain Jam 2013 will feature a Food Truck Village -- a gathering of the best chefs from the Hudson Valley and Catskill region. Organizers are promising fresh, tasty, original and -- amazingly enough -- affordable dishes, so bring an appetite.

What's more, Mountain Jam 2013 will end earlier on Sunday night -- at approximately 8:30PM -- than it has in past years, giving festival goers plenty of time to head home and get ready for work on Monday. But don't worry about the early finale: To compensate, a marquee headlining band is being scheduled for Thursday -- so make sure you don't miss opening night's stellar kickoff.

Stay tuned for more info, including the announcement of the 2013 Mountain Jam lineup.
