Airborne Toxic Event's much-anticipated third album, 'Such Hot Blood,' doesn't drop until April, but frontman Mikel Jollet and company won't make us wait that long for new music. The four-song EP 'The Secret' arrives March 11, and is proud to premiere the closing track (listen below), an epic slab of moody, orchestral alt-rock sure to satisfy fans of the band's previous work.

For 'Such Hot Blood,' Airborne Toxic Event relocated to Nashville and teamed up with Grammy-winning producer Jacquire King, known for his work with Kings of Leon and Of Monsters and Men, among others. "There's nothing like Nashville for starting new in music," the band says in a statement. "It gets in your blood, the rhythm of the place, the people. Making a record with Jacquire King at Blackbird Studios was the most challenging and all-encompassing experience we've ever had as a band."

ATE head to Austin next week for SXSW and follow that up with a March 19 performance on 'Late Night with David Letterman.' On March 30, they take the stage in San Diego and kick off a spring 2013 North American tour that will include appearances at both weekends of this year's Coachella Music & Arts Festival (April 14 and 21) and a performance with the Tulare County Symphony orchestra in Visalia, Calif.
