Cincinnati-based post-punk rockers Ampline are gearing up for their new split 7" single with Buffalo Killers, and today (May 27), Diffuser is thrilled to premiere their contribution, “It Will Evaporate” -- take it for a spin in the audio player below.

In the span of just two minutes, Ampline's gritty and sludgy rock pours through the speakers, making for a staggeringly loud listening experience -- trust us, that's a good thing.

“We started working on a ‘concept’ album a couple of years ago, about a ship captain in the early 1400s who sets off to find the edge of the world, like all great accounts of epic sea journeys around that time,” guitarist Mike Montgomery tells us. “His trip is full of fantastic sights and sounds, blurred swirls of cultures and religions and growing discontent with man’s role in life. ‘It Will Evaporate’ is about the narrator’s disbelief in Belief.”

The split single includes Buffalo Killers’ “Turkey Pete Montana Prison Man” and is set to hit the streets on June 2 via Sofaburn Records; it will be available on vinyl and digital formats. You can grab details on the 7” at this location, and make sure to stay up-to-date with everything happening in Ampline’s world at their official website.
