Arthur Beatrice is a band, not a guy, and what's more, the U.K. foursome is co-fronted by a female, Ella Girardot. It's her beguiling voice that can be heard on the new single 'Midlands,' a preview of the group's forthcoming debut album, 'Working Out.' Give it a listen below.

"All I want is to be warm and home and well known," Giradot sings at the outset, setting the stage for a lightly grooving drama-pop gem somewhat reminiscent of the xx and Florence and the Machine.

'Working Out' follows Arthur Beatrice's acclaimed 'Carter EP' and lands March 4, one day after they kick off their first-ever U.S. tour with a show at the Rough Trade shop in Brooklyn. The trek wraps in Austin a week later, where Giradot and the boys will busy themselves with five days of SXSW shows.

According to a rather spot-on press release, 'Midland' finds the London crew at their "most atmospheric and beguiling but also at their most direct." There's certainly no shortage of melody or mystery, and that's always a good combo. This could be a U.K. band to watch.
