There are three English-language books about thrash metal titans Slayer, and D.X. Ferris wrote two of them, including the new full biography, "Slayer 66 2/3: The Jeff and Dave Years..." His previous book is part of Bloomsbury's prestigious 33 1/3 series. Ferris is an Ohio Society of Professional Journalist. He digs the new hotness, but he mostly kicks it old-school.
