Bjork was forced to cancel her last two shows at the Centro de Exposiciones in Buenos Aries, Argentina due to the presence of a nodule on her throat, according to NME. The singer had been been in residence there as part of a live show and education series since April 6.

"I'm sorry to say that I have a nodule on my vocal chords and therefore cannot complete the Buenos Aires gigs," she wrote on her Facebook page. "It is a shame as I really love the city and would have loved to stay longer. I hope I can go back soon."

As of now, there are no plans to reschedule the shows. However, the Icelandic singer is still expected to fulfill her summer concert committments, including appearances at San Miguel Primavera Sound (Barcelona), Open'er (Gdynia, Poland) and Øya (Oslo).

A nodule is a growth on the vocal chords that can greatly affect a singer's performance. Sometimes they can disappear with vocal rest or treatment, but sometimes surgery is required. If untreated, it can lead to a vocal hemorrhage, which is what Adele suffered in October 2011.
