Not even a gold ceiling can slow the dramatic ascent of the Black Keys, the bluesy rock duo that formed in Akron, Ohio in 2001 and has spent the better part of the last decade-plus in a van, trekking across America and spreading the gospel according to singer-guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney.

Things gradually went from slow and steady to rabbit-like quick in time for the arrival of 'El Camino' and its blues-rocking groove of a single, 'Gold on the Ceiling,' which topped the Alternative Rock chart and soundtracked a high-profile promotional clip for the 2012 NCAA men's basketball tournament. Now the Black Keys are rocking arenas -- and realizing that the sky truly is the limit for their success.
