The members of Coldplay have lined up a busy tour schedule for 2017, including a North American stadium run that's already booked for next summer.

The band remains on the road in support of their seventh studio album, A Head Full of Dreams, which peaked at No. 2 in the U.S. and topped the charts in their native U.K. after its arrival in stores last December. They'll close out 2016 with a November appearance at the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai and a six-show run through Australia and New Zealand in December.

Coldplay's 2017 tour commitments begin next June, when they're scheduled to start a string of European dates in Munich. They'll remain overseas through July before touching down in North America for an appearance at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium on Aug. 1 — the first of 18 shows on the continent.

The Head Full of Dreams shows come at something of an uncertain time for the bestselling band, with frontman Chris Martin publicly predicting that it marks a "closing chapter" in their discography. "I don’t think we’d split up as a band, so hopefully we’ll try to work out something to do at some point. But also part of me right now just feels like 'Yeah, seven albums, that’s great,' and they form a kind of circle and they all make sense to me now and I feel really proud of them," he explained earlier this year. "I’d be surprised if there was another conventional Coldplay album. I just feel like we’re right where we’re supposed to be right now."
