Courtney Love Calls Kurt Cobain Her ‘Greatest True Love’ in Moving Christmas Note
Courtney Love’s life and work will be forever intertwined with her late husband Kurt Cobain, continually forcing her to reflect on their relationship and its tragic end. In 2015, the ex-Hole frontwoman once again opened up about her marriage for Brett Morgen’s documentary Montage of Heck, and now, she’s concluded the year with a moving note addressed to Cobain.
In an Instagram post featuring an old Christmas photo of the couple and their daughter Frances Bean, Love calls Cobain the "greatest true love I've ever experienced in my life" and thanks him for giving the “gift that makes life worth living, our incredibly talented, beautiful and gifted daughter.” Read her touching message below:
Love spent this past spring opening for Lana Del Rey on the Honeymoon singer's Endless Summer Tour. Around the same time, she dropped the single “Miss Narcissist” via Wavves frontman Nathan Williams’ label Ghost Ramp.
Morgen’s Montage of Heck documentary also premiered in May. It has since been issued on DVD along with a collection of Cobain’s home recordings and Nirvana rarities.
