Sinewy and lean, Iggy Pop looks far taller than 5 feet, 7 inches. Amazingly, though, the Godfather of Punk is a man of below-average height. Maybe it's because instead of eating his peanut butter sandwiches as a young boy and consuming the protein that might have fueled his growth, he ditched the bread and smeared the Jiffy across his torso, rehearsing a stage move he'd perfect as leader of the Stooges. Or not.

Pop's small stature might actually be in advantage, as he's got a low center of gravity -- all the better to lunge and writhe and leap into the audience, all the while maintaining some semblance of balance.
