A 24-year old man was found dead at the Global Gathering festival in Stratford-upon-Avon on Saturday (July 28). The man was discovered in his tent in an unconscious state, and attempts to revive him by paramedics were, unfortunately, unsuccessful.

As of now, the cause of death is unknown. However, an autopsy will be performed today (July 30), with the results expected tomorrow. Police are currently investigating the death.

The organizers of the festival have issued the following statement: "Everybody at Global Gathering is deeply saddened by this tragic loss of life. Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends at this time. We are assisting Warwickshire Police with their ongoing investigation.”

Now in its 12th year, Global Gathering has become one of the top electronic dance music festivals, with events held annually in the U.K., and in various locations throughout the world. An estimated 50,000 people attended this year's festival, which featured Skrillex, Tinie Tempah, Friendly Fires and Chase and Status. This is the first time in its history that a death has occurred.

The deceased's name has not been released to the public.
