Bad news, Gotye fans. Sunday night's (April 15) scheduled webcast of the artist's Coachella 2012 performance didn't end up happening after all. Apparently there were some technical problems that couldn't be resolved, and thus only people actually in attendance got to experience the current golden boy of the music industry's highly-anticipated concert. Gotye was scheduled to hit the Mojave stage at 8:30PM PT.

A tweet from camp Gotye broke the bad news Sunday afternoon:

Gotye appeared on this weekend's 'Satuday Night Live,' turning in an impressive performance of massive hit 'Somebody I Used to Know' and 'Eyes Wide Open,' a likely pick for the next single off 'Making Mirrors.' Despite the cancelled webcast, his Coachella set went off as scheduled, so we're guessing he hopped a plane out on New York early in the morning to get out to Indio, Calif. Gotye is a busy man.

If you still want to catch Gotye live, it looks like you only have a few more chances before his North American tour winds down with another performance next Sunday during the second weekend of Coachella. He also has shows this week in San Francisco and Los Angeles, Calif. Check out his complete itinerary here.
