Grace Potter Discusses Jamming With the Rolling Stones + Her Debut Solo LP
If most artists had the opportunity to jump on stage and jam with the Rolling Stones, we think it's safe to say that anxiety would run rampant.
Unless, of course, you're Grace Potter.
Recently, Potter had the opportunity to join Mick Jagger and company on stage at a Stones gig in Minneapolis for an unforgettable performance of "Gimme Shelter."
"I got up on stage and it was like I've been doing it my whole life," Potter tells us during a chat at this year's installment of Mountain Jam. "It was completely natural."
After reminiscing about her moment with the Stones, Potter admits that she'd love to collaborate with Mountain Jam headliner Robert Plant. She also opens up about her debut solo LP, Midnight, which is set to hit the streets in August.
"It sort of fell together by accident, it was initially going to be a Nocturnals record," she explains. "It was really clear this is obviously not the band, this is a really specific sound ... it's just different. It's heavy boogie."
