According to His Own Standards, Jack White Has Finally ‘Made It’

Before playing to a sold out Madison Square Garden – a feat within itself – Jack White said he hadn’t actually “made it” yet.

During an interview with Jordan Klepper, ‘The Daily Show’ correspondent asked the former White Stripes frontman when he knew he had made it. White admitted he wouldn’t make it until he had coffee with ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic. Yes, the famous parody singer had spoofed White’s songs in the past -- but it wouldn’t mean anything until they shared a cup of coffee.

“When I have coffee with ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic one day, that’s when I’ll know,” White told Klepper. “People say, ‘I know I’ve made it when ‘Weird Al’ covers your song.’ That’s not true. You have to have coffee with him.”

Now, it looks like White has finally made it. His Third Man Records’ Instagram shared a picture of White and Yankovic sharing that long overdue cup of joe. Check it out below:
