Detroit dance-punkers Electric Six credited an auto mechanic named John S. O'Leary with delivering the guest vocals on their debut single, 'Danger! High Voltage,' but music critics correctly pointed out the voice's real source: Jack White. White was fronting fellow Detroit outfit the White Stripes at the time, and he sat in with his friends in the Electric Six for the tune, which reached No. 2 on the U.K. charts and was named a Single of the Week by the NME. It also appeared on the band's debut album, 'Fire,' which dropped the following year.
