Back for its fifth go-round, the KahBang Music Festival makes its return to Bangor, Maine, on Aug. 8-11. Festival organizers have announced the initial lineup, featuring the likes of Oberhofer, Lights and Paper Diamond, plus dozens more.

Other acts on this year’s bill include Dr. Dog, Break Science, the Weeks, AER, Hopsin, Lady Lamb the Beekeeper, Spose, Black Light Dinner Party, the Knocks, RDGLDGRN, Lucius, Lazerdisk Party Sex, Sun Club, Jet Black Sunrise, Brite Lite Brite, Ula Ruth, Herra Terra, Mean Creek, the Dirty Gems, When Particles Collide, the Box Tiger, Junior Astronomers, Late Cambrian, Of the Trees, Eight Feet Tall, Graveyard Lovers, Young Readers, Toussaint Morrison, Crunk Witch, the Rice Cakes, the Bynars, Summit of Thieves and 12th Planet, with even more musical talent to be added in the coming weeks.

Festival-goers will also enjoy a number of art galleries, film screenings, a Ferris wheel and delicious food and drink from local vendors. Beer lovers can check out the Bangor Brew Fest on Aug. 10, which showcases over 17 breweries, as well as special guest speakers.
