Ladyfest, a community-based, nonprofit music and arts festival which was last hosted in Philadelphia back in 2003, makes its return to the historic city on June 7-9 at the Rotunda and other West Philly hot spots. The two-day bash features the likes of Screaming Females, Potty Mouth, Black Wine, Aye Nako, US Girls and more.

Other acts on the lineup include Parasol, Void Vision, In School, Priests, Peeple Watchin,’ Shady Hawkins, Whore Paint, Attia Taylor, 3Jane, +HIRS+, Trophy Wife, Blizzard Babies, Big Mouth, Batty, Amanda X, Ghost Ship, Kate Ferencz and Mindtroll. Festival-goers can also enjoy a wide variety of workshops, including a stomp station, a drumline, a self-defense seminar and a session on urban gardening.

Ladyfest's mission statement, according to its official website, is as follows:

Ladyfest Philadelphia is a grassroots event dedicated to the artistic, organizational, and political work of women, trans, genderqueer, intersex, and queer people, and their allies. Ladyfest combats substantive, cultural, and structural inequalities by building upon the existing Philadelphia community of artists, musicians, and activists. It aims to foster a more inclusive and safe environment through performances, workshops, panels, opportunities for collaboration, and more.

Ticket info isn’t yet available, but organizers have said that all proceeds will go to Project SAFE and Women in Transition.
