Brett Morgen’s Kurt Cobain documentary, Montage of Heck, has returned to theaters following its initial run and its HBO debut back in May, and the version currently showing is slightly different than the one that made the rounds a few months ago. One new feature is a previously unheard Cobain song that plays over the film’s closing credits, which one moviegoer has captured on film. Listen above (via Alternative Nation).

Whether or not this song will appear on the forthcoming Cobain “solo album,” which compiles audio found by Montage of Heck director Brett Morgen, is yet to be seen. That album will feature music from the documentary and a “sketch comedy routine” created by the late Nirvana frontman. It’s due out the same day as Montage of Heck’s DVD release on Nov. 6 via Universal.

“It’s not a Nirvana album,” Morgen said, “it’s just Kurt and you’re going to hear him do things you never expected to come out of him.”

Montage of Heck recently received an Emmy nomination for Best Documentary or Nonfiction Special.
