With the undeniable charisma of an archetypal rock frontman, INXS's Michael Hutchence wasn't associated with the depression some peers felt -- at least not openly. But reports suggest Michael was extremely down on being separated from his daughter, then-16-month-old Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily Hutchence, at the time of his death on Nov. 22, 1997, in a Sydney, Australia hotel room.

A coroner ruled that Hutchence committed suicide while under the influence of drugs and alcohol, dispelling the widespread rumor that his death was accidental and caused by auto erotic asphyxiation. But two years later, Tiger's mother, Paula Yates, suggested during a '60 Minutes' interview that auto eroticism did cause his death, and many family members and fans to this day consider it accidental.
