British singer-songwriter Mika kicked off the weekend with a sold-out show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn last night (April 12).

Donning a snappy forest-green suit and slick black shiny shoes, Mika started his set behind a piano and belted out fan favorite ‘Grace Kelly,’ which spotlighted his famous falsetto. The stage was beautifully lit with soft hanging lights that added to the warm ambiance of the performance.

Fans danced and sang out loud to upbeat tracks like ‘Popular,’ ‘Emily,’ ‘Love You When I’m Drunk’ and others. Mika's two backing musicians helped enrich the set by switching among percussion, keyboards and bass throughout the night.

The curly haired singer charmed fans with his onstage charisma and humor. He got the audience laughing several times with his witty conversation and stories between songs. He also gave shout-outs throughout the night to his “Granny,” who was at the show.

Mika also reached out to the crowd through softer, dreamier tracks like ‘Underwater’ and ‘Relax, Take It Easy,’ expertly showing why he's maintained such a loyal fan base over the past few years.
