NPR's popular music department will host their very own showcase at this year's SXSW in Austin, Texas, on Wednesday, March 18. Artists performing at Stubb's BBQ that evening include TV on the Radio, Courtney Barnett, Stromae, Shamir and Boogie.

TV on the Radio, who released their new album Seeds at the end of last year, promise to perform some of the album's infectious songs. Barnett, who is releasing her debut album (the one with the excessively long title), Sometimes I Sit and Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit, will perform it in its entirety, one week before its release date on March 24.

Belgian star Stromae has become a YouTube sensation with nearly 230 million views, and after performing at Stubb's, he will head out on a U.S. tour which will include an appearance at Coachella. Young hip-hop star Shamir will be securing his claim in the scene with his dance songs that evening, as well as one of Compton's newest up-and-coming rappers, Boogie.

For those who cannot attend, NPR will provide audio and video recordings of all of the performances on their website in the days following the show.
