When Phish announced plans to take an "extended time-out" in 2000, many fans weren't so optimistic about the band's future. Phish concerts had become unruly, following an influx of followers in the wake of Grateful Dead singer Jerry Garcia's death a few years before, and the band members themselves seemed beyond burnt out.

Luckily for Phish Heads, it was just two years before they were back onstage, and 2003 saw the band mount a full-scale comeback tour. They've been back on the road every year since.
