Queens of the Stone Age, ‘I Appear Missing’ [New Video]

Queens of the Stone Age's animated video for 'I Appear Missing' is like a graphic novel cross-pollinated with a Quentin Tarantino film. It follows a bloodies, bandaged, suit-wearing demi-mummy with blurred vision attempting to make his way out of the desert.

It's not an easy exodus for our hero and lead character, who has the words 'Wake Up' scrawled on his white shirt in blood. He sheds pieces of himself and is trailed by other birds of prey and ultimately falls to earth in painful fashion. Peel back the layers of meaning as you wish, because they are certainly intimated.

The ending is abrupt as hell, too. We won't spoil it for you.
