Rocket From the Crypt Announce Reunion Tour
We've got good news and bad news. The good news is that '90s critical darlings Rocket from the Crypt have announced their long-awaited reunion tour. The news broke today (Dec. 12) via their Facebook page.
The bad news is that, at least as of now, they will only play five dates, and all of them in Europe. We say, "as of now" because they included a FAQ sheet along with the announcement. The first question is, "Will there be other shows?" to which they answered, "Maybe. We will see how it goes."
Granted, the FAQ devolves into absurdist and juvenile humor immediately afterward, so we can't be sure if the band was serious at the end when they drop the news that they are working on a new album with Dave Grohl producing.
Rocket from the Crypt broke up in 2005 after 15 years as a cult band that never managed to break through to the mainstream. They reunited in Oct. 2011 for a performance on the children's show 'Yo Gabba Gabba,' on which frontman John 'Speedo' Reis plays 'The Swami.'
