Hailing from the great city of Nashville, Sam Lewis will celebrate the release of his sophomore LP, Waiting on You, on April 21. Today (April 7), Diffuser is beyond thrilled to partner with the tunesmith for a very special acoustic rendition of the album’s title track -- check it out in the video above.

The soulful song finds Lewis in a vulnerable state: There is nothing between him and the camera except his guitar and microphone. His talents are on full display in the intimate setting; his staggering lyrics beautifully built on top of moving melodies.

“I was impatiently waiting on a former roommate to move out when I ducked away to my room in fear of being asked to help,” Lewis explains about "Waiting on You." “Maybe I thought noise would act more as a deterrent rather than silence so I picked up my guitar and started singing over a melody I worked up the night before."

During that time, what was originally meant to serve as a distraction quickly turned into the namesake for the upcoming LP: "My muse took a turn for the water where we found the narrator all alone and waiting for the ‘right one’ to come along.”

Diffuser is proud to not just premiere this video, but to be part of a much bigger celebration of Waiting on You as 11 other outlets are each sharing an acoustic rendition of one of the disc's tracks. As Lewis gears up for the release of his new record, he's on the road throughout April and early May. You can find his full tour itinerary -- including an appearance at the Big Barrel Festival in Delaware -- at his official website.
