Guided By Voices

Guided by Voices are issuing a total of three new albums this year alone -- their first new discs since reuniting in 2010 after a half-decade hiatus -- and the first video for the second of these releases, ‘Class Clown Spots a UFO,’ has just surfaced.

Guided by Voices do not stop. Well, they did, briefly, from 2005 to 2010 -- but the reunited GBV are churning out the albums once again. The band's eighteenth (!) album is the curiously titled ‘Class Clown Spots a UFO,’ a surreal journey of 21 songs.

Guided by Voices have announced a slew of 2012 North American tour dates to back their forthcoming album, 'Class Clown Spots a UFO,' which drops on June 12. 'Class Clown' is GBV's second album of 2012 and 18th full-length release overall; they will follow it up with a third 2012 album, 'The Bears for Lunch,' which arrives in November.

While the legendary rock club CBGB is no more, the CBGB Festival has been born. Set to kick off on July 5-8, the city-wide festival will take place across 30 different locations in New York City, from clubs like the Highline Ballroom and Webster Hall to the outside setting of Central Park’s Summerstage.
