San Francisco's Treasure Island--and yes, that's a real, waterlocked island--is set to host another installment of the annual weekend-long Treasure Island Music Festival on Oct. 13-14.

While the lineup's 25 bands, as a whole, find common ground in being young, cool, college radio-friendly acts not unaccustomed to blog buzz, the weekend offers everything from twee to EDM to garage rock to rap.

Girl Talk, the still-reigning king of ADHD mashup collage, headlines the first night while London's the xx closes out the second night with their take on post-Factory Records electro-sulkery.

The opening night's lineup also features sets from Aussie synth-rockers the Presets, 19-year old EDM savant Porter Robinson, rap icons Public Enemy, atmospheric dub-junkie SBTRKT and Canadian critical darling Grimes among others.

In addition to the xx, the second and final night offers music from M83, a name familiar with anyone who glanced at a "best of" list last year.  There's also the eclectic (read soul/disco/punk/gospel) trio the Gossip, the sun-kissed Cali-pop of  Best Coast and the Spoon/Handsome Furs/Wolf Parade/New Bomb Turks Megazord supergroup that is Divine Fits among others.

Single-day and regular two-day passes are on sale right now at $75 and $129.50, respectively. For tickets are more information, check the Treasure Island Music Festival's internet archipelago here.
