U2 – Superhero Songs
'Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me'
Even though Bono connected with the Dark Knight in the music video for this track, the frontman admitted in BP Fallon's book 'U2: Faraway So Close' that the song was actually about being in a rock band and the life of a rock star.
'Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me' originated in the sessions for the band's eighth studio album, 'Zooropa,' and was discarded until it was featured on the 'Batman Forever' soundtrack in 1995. It reached No. 1 on Billboard's Album Rock and Modern Rock charts.
