Our favorite Danish singer-songwriter and pianist Agnes Obel has announced some exciting news for fans: her hugely successful second studio album, ‘Aventine,’ will see a deluxe edition release -- including a remix by the inimitable David Lynch -- in North America on Oct. 7.

Obel has a knack for creating powerful and poignant music, so it makes sense that she would team up with Lynch. “I I think she has a most beautiful voice and can do things with her voice that are unique and extraordinary,” the symbolic director said in a recent press release. You can listen to Lynch's reimagining of 'Fuel to Fire' below:

As expected, Lynch’s vision of the already haunting track is even more stirring than the original.

The deluxe edition of ‘Aventine’ also includes the brand new songs ‘Under Giant Trees,’ ‘Arches’ and ‘September Song,’ as well as live versions of a handful of other tracks. Additionally, artist Daniel Matz provides his own remix of ‘Dorian.’

For vinyl fans, ‘Aventine’ will be available as a double-LP along with Obel’s debut album, ‘Philharmonics.’ Both are limited-edition pressings on black wax.

Obel will return stateside for a handful of live shows beginning Oct. 30 in Minneapolis. Get her full schedule here, and watch the studio version of ‘Fuel to Fire’ in Obel’s new music video below:
