Biffy Clyro Take Brooklyn By Storm With Intimate Performance – Exclusive Photos

Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro invaded New York City last night (Oct. 9) for an intimate show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Support came via fellow U.K. travelers Morning Parade.

After playing in front of massive crowds in Europe at this year’s at the Reading and Leeds Festivals, Biffy Clyro performed for a small yet vivacious crowd. To many female (and some male) fans’ delight, most of the band members came out shirtless and rocked the house from the get-go, kicking things off with the new track ‘Different People.’

Biffy Clyro are touring in support of their new double album ‘Opposites’ and about a third of the set was made up of fresh tunes, among them ‘Stingin’ Belle,’ ‘Biblical,’ ‘Black Chandelier’ and ‘Modern Magic Formula.’

It was a treat to get such an intimate look at a group with such a forceful sound. Frontman Simon Neil and co. displayed raw energy, and their production is simple yet powerful. Fans sang their hearts out to favorites such as ‘Glitter and Trauma,’ ‘Living is a Problem Because Everything Dies,’ ‘Whose Got a Match?’ and ‘57,’ just to name a few.

Morning Parade are already making waves with their self-titled debut album, and the quintet opened the evening with a groovy and rhythmic hour-long set. To see a full list of remaining tour dates, go here.
