Jimmy Fallon is known for joining his musical guests for special web extra performances, but after Blur made their triumphant return to U.S. television on The Tonight Show last week -- their first appearance in 15 years -- Fallon and the Britpop quartet teamed up for a particularly special collaboration.

Blur visited The Tonight Show last Thursday (April 30) to perform “Ong Ong,” a track from their newly minted album, The Magic Whip -- their first since 2003’s Think Tank -- which arrived earlier that week. Backstage, however, Fallon joined Blur on a sweet acoustic rendition of “Tender” from the band’s 1999 LP, 13. Watch the performance in the video above, which finds the English four-piece, Fallon and a chorus playing the song in a cramped backstage room.

“I can’t believe it,” Fallon says, collapsing to the floor after the song’s conclusion. “Gosh, that was so fun.” And we couldn’t agree more!

After their Tonight Show gig, Blur played a free show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Check out photos from the night here.

In addition to their new album, Blur recently unveiled The Magic Whip: Made in Hong Kong, a brief documentary chronicling the making of their latest full-length. Watch that here.
