It takes some serious chutzpah to get up on a stage and sing for a nation of strangers -- not to mention a panel of industry judges, er, "mentors" -- and if you're going to do it, you might as well pick a song that's going to make everyone remember you, for better or for worse. Witness Caitlin Michele, who made the gutsy decision to perform Florence + the Machine's 'Cosmic Love' during her blind audition on last night's (Oct. 1) episode of 'The Voice.'

Florence Welch is one of the more distinctive artists on today's music scene, in terms of both her sound and look, and while Michele may not have Welch's striking stage presence or eye-catching, glamorous wardrobe, she acquitted herself admirably with 'Cosmic Love.' The fact that both Adam Levine and Blake Shelton opted to turn their chairs around and vie for her membership on their respective teams attests to the strength of her performance.

Michele opted to go with veteran stage prowler Levine, which should lead to an amped-up personality during her subsequent performances -- and perhaps an even more confident delivery of other numbers from Welch's catalog. Watch her audition below and let us know what you think.
