Back for its 34th annual run, the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal, aka the Montreal International Jazz Festival, has just announced the impressive indoor program for this year’s edition, set to run from June 28 to July 7 across a variety of venues in the heart of downtown Montreal. Along with a wealth of jazz staples, the lineup features She & Him, Belle and Sebastian and Here We Go Magic, plus dozens more top-name acts.
The lineup for the 2013 edition of Bumbershoot, set for the Seattle Center from Aug. 31 through Sept. 2, has been revealed, with Death Cab for Cutie, MGMT, Alt-J, Tegan & Sara and the Breeders as just a few of the main attractions scheduled to take the stage over the Labor Day weekend. The lineup is eclectic, but something else makes this event special, and it involves Death Cab!
The Las Vegas edition of the Electric Daisy Carnival has revealed its 2013 lineup, and as you might expect, it's pretty EDM-centric. The event, scheduled for June 21 through June 23, will be held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. If you dig dance music, the lineup, which includes Avicii, Calvin Harris and Skrillex, will have you drooling. However, if you didn’t snatch up tickets already, you're officially SOL, since the event sold out before the lineup was even announced.
Last month, the Village Voice announced the return of the 4Knots Music Festival, and now, the long-running NYC alt-weekly has released details about the official 4Knots After Party. The 18+ event will take place on June 29 at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg at 8PM, with Lil B headlining alongside special guests.
Back in February, Northside Festival revealed its initial 2013 lineup, and now, even more artists have been added to the impressive bill, including Phosphorescent, the Gories and Solange — but that’s not all. Festival organizers have just announced two free outdoor shows, set to take place at McCarren Park on June 15-16.
The inaugural edition of the Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit is set to run from Oct. 25-27 in the heart of downtown Asheville, N.C., bringing a wealth of live music to venues including the U.S. Cellular Center, Thomas Wolfe Auditorium and the Orange Peel. The fest features Nine Inch Nails, Animal Collective and the newly reunited Neutral Milk Hotel, plus many more.
