A recent Chevrolet commercial portrays rapper Theophilus London skateboarding his way to the fridge for a glass of milk, only to find the carton empty. He then goes on a grocery run in his Chevy Sonic, which has seemingly transformed into a skateboard. As the car is launched from a ramp and into the air, where it soars and spins, London’s ‘All Around the World’ plays in the background.

The tune is from his 2011 disc ‘Timez Are Weird These Days,’ which landed at No. 30 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 21 on the Rap Albums chart. Entertainment Weekly referred to the record as “a welcome cool breeze in sweltering mid summer,” and Spin called it “a painfully hip slice of style-mag electro-soul.”

The genre-bending artist has collaborated with the likes of Tegan and Sara, Solange, Glasser and TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek, and he has toured with A-Trak, Big Boi and Friendly Skies. He also performed at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Check out his official site for the latest info.
