Watch ‘Sucker Punch’ Star Emily Browning in Belle and Sebastian Frontman’s New Video

Belle and Sebastian frontman Stuart Murdoch didn’t have to look too far to find a star for the band’s ‘God Help the Girl’ video. He turned to ‘Sucker Punch’ actress Emily Browning, who also stars in the movie musical of the same name that Murdoch also wrote, directed and scored.

Filmed in the band’s hometown of Glasgow, the movie follows a girl played by Browning who is hospitalized for emotional problems but who begins writing songs as a way to feel better. From there, she moves to the city where she meets two musicians (played by Hannah Murray from ‘Game of Thrones‘ and Olly Alexander from ‘Penny Dreadful‘) who form a pop group with her.

The twee video for the movie’s title track (which you can watch above) features snippets from the film along with new footage of Browning. The soundtrack will be released on Sept. 2 with the film to follow on iTunes, On Demand and the movie’s website on Sept. 5. Watch the trailer right here:
